Abstract

Early on, the Buyids, who ruled in Iran and Iraq in the X. and XI. centuries, were in the service of the local dynasties that ruled in Deylem. However, over time, they took wide regions under their governance by utilizing the authority gap that occurred in Iran and Iraq. As a matter of fact, although Cibal region, one of the regions under Buyid governance, was ruled by Samani khans; Rüknüddevle (Ebu Ali Hasan b.Büveyh), who utilized the authority gap in the region very well, established Cibal Buyids, centered in Ray, by conquering Esfahan first in year 323 (934-935) then Rey in 331 (943) and until he died he had been in a longtime struggle for the sovereignity of the region with Samanis.
