Abstract
Kore Savaşı, Soğuk Savaşın önemli güçleri olan SSCB ve ABD’nin arasında gerçekleşmiştir. SSCB ve ABD’nin rekabeti nedeniyle ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu iki güç, kozlarını 1950-1953 yılları arasında süren Kore Savaşı’nda paylaşmıştır. Araştırmada arşiv belgeleri ve 1952 Vatan Gazetesinde elde edilen bulgular ile savaşın Türk kamuoyuna yansımaları incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Kore Savaşı’ndaki Türk askerinin kahramanlıkları ve yaşadıkları anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler sonucunda bu dönemdeki Türk Amerikan ilişkileri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Soğuk Savaş döneminde Türkiye’nin, Amerika tarafında yer alması ve NATO müttefiki olması yolundaki adımlar, arşiv belgeleri ve tetkik eserler doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle detaylandırılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
The Korean War was fought between the USSR and the USA, which were the significant forces of the Cold War. It emerged due to the rivalry that existed between the USSR and the USA. These two forces shared their trumps in the Korean War, which lasted between 1950-1953. In the research, it was endeavored to study the reflections of the said war on the Turkish public, using archive documents and the findings obtained in the 1952 Vatan Newspaper. It aimed to explain the heroism of the Turkish soldiers in the Korean War and their experiences. Information about Turkish-American relations in this period was given as an outcome of the obtained data. Turkey's steps towards taking part on the American side and becoming a NATO ally, archival documents, and research works during the period of the Cold War, were tried to be elaborated by the document analysis method.
