Abstract
Çalışmada Türk mitolojisinin ana unsurları ve bu unsurların birbirleri arasındaki sistematik ilişkisi değerlendirilecektir. Türkiye’de Türk mitolojisi hakkında yeteri kadar çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bununla beraber eldeki verilerden yola çıkarak sanılanın aksine Türk mitolojisinin diğer mitoloji kaynaklarından esinlenmediği anlaşılır. Türk mitolojisinin İslamiyet öncesi ve sonrası süreçlerden günümüze kadar gelen değer yargılarının oluşmasında ana zemini oluşturduğu düşünülmektedir. Çalışmanın giriş kısmında mitolojisinin tanımına yer verilmektedir. Sonraki bölümlerde ise Türk mitolojisinin ana unsurları anlatılmakta ve sonuç bölümünde çalışmanın sonucu ve değerlendirilmesi hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Ele aldığımız her başlık altında Türk mitolojisine ait unsurların Osmanlı mizahındaki karşılıklarına dair tespitlerimiz de bulunur. Böylelikle Osmanlı toplumunda Türklerle birlikte varlığını koruyan kadim Türk mitolojik unsurları ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Osmanlı’daki özgürlük algısında olduğu gibi “hürriyet” figürünün Türk mitolojisi ile bir ilintisi olduğuna dair veriler tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum Osmanlı Türk milliyetçiliğinde “nasyonel” bir yön olduğuna delalettir.

Abstract
In the study the main features of Turkish mythology and their correlation between each other would be evaluated. There are not enough studies about the Turkish mythology in Turkey. Nevertheless it can be understood that Turkish mythology has not been affected from other mythological sources according to the available data at present. It can be thought that Turkish mythology was the main source for the values prior to Islam and afterword throughout the present. In the beginning of the study the introduction of the Turkish mythology is represented. Following section of the study deals with the main subjects of the Turkish mythology and the study is evaluated in the conclusion section. In each title of the study the finding that bears the mark of Turkish mythology within reflects of the Ottoman humor press are represented. It thus ancient Turkish mythological indications that endure with Turkish society are put forth. It is detected that the perception of independency as it be of freedom has got a strong tied with ancient Turkic mythology. Therefore it indicates that the national spirit of the Turkish nationalism has got an angle that rooted from the Turkish mythology.
