Abstract
Osmanlı Devleti’nde eğitim alanındaki değişim askeri okullarla başlamıştır. 18. Yüzyılın son çeyreğinde açılan Mühendishaneler ilk örneklerdir. II. Mahmud tarafından açılan Mekteb-i Tıbbiye, Mekteb-i Harbiye ve Muzıka-i Hümayun orduya tabip, subay ve bando takımı yetiştirmek için tasarlanmışlardır. Adı geçen okullar geliştirilip, birer yükseköğretim kurumu statüsüne kavuşturulunca o okullardaki derslere hazır öğrenci yetiştirebilmek için hazırlık mahiyetinde askeri idadiler açılmıştır. Ancak, 1845 yılında açılmış olan askeri idadilere giden öğrencilerde yeterlilik problemi ile karşılaşılınca donanımlı askerler yetiştirmek için farklı birtakım arayışlara gidilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda atılan adımlardan birisi de 1875 yılından itibaren askeri idadilere öğrenci hazırlamak üzere askeri rüşdiyelerin açılmaya başlanması olmuştur. Halep Askeri Rüşdiyesi de o çerçevede açılan okullardan birisidir. Çalışmada, ulaşılabilen veriler doğrultusunda Halep Askeri Rüşdiyesi incelenmiştir.

Abstract
The change in education in the Ottoman Empire started with military schools. The first examples are engineering workshops opened in the last quarter of the 18th century. II. Mekteb-i Tıbbiye, Mekteb-i Harbiye, and Muzıka-i Hümayun, opened by Mahmud, were designed to train doctors, officers, and bands for the army. When the mentioned schools were developed and gained the status of higher education institutions, military high schools were opened to prepare students for the courses in those schools. However, when students attending the military high schools, which were opened in 1845, encountered a qualification problem, different searches were made to train well-equipped soldiers. One of the steps taken in this direction was the opening of military high schools to prepare students for military high schools starting in 1875. Aleppo Military Rushdie is one of the schools opened in that context. In the study, Aleppo Military Rushdie was examined in line with the available data.
