The Study area is located in the Mediterranean region and its sub region Adana. Its far of the Kadirli district is 40 km North direction. This area is boundary between East Taurus and Middle Taurus. Yirce Plateau which is karstic feature demonstrates parallelism extent NE-SW direction in respect of direction Middle Taurus Mountains. Plateau surface where it is eastward sloping and wavy is from 1720 m. to 1982 m. at highs from sea level. Beech (Fagus orientalis) Forests have grown in the karstic landforms (dolins and uvalas) which are occurred with karstification, erosion and tectonic movements in the Upper Miocene Conglomerates.Beech (Fagus orientalis) is a plant which is belonging to Europe – Siberia Flora Region. Growing of this plant in the Mediterranean Phytogeography Region is very interesting. Beech Forests are located as troops on the Amanos Mountains, Aladağ Mountains and Yirce Plateau. The aim of in this study is to determine Beech (Fagus orientalis) Forest which are located on the Yirce Plateau where it is 2,6 km2 area together Firs (Abies clicica) and Cedars (Cedrus libani). The presence as relict ofbeeches in the Mediterranean Region informs a lot of information about distribution of vegetation kinds of glacial period of Quaternary. Again this situation explains about climate changing in the present and the narrowing of the field of Europe – Siberia plants. The protection and continue presence of this plants which is located very limited area on this region is very important at the present time.
