Abstract
Sözlü anlatım türleri içinde masallar, evrensel nitelikleriyle ön plana çıkar.Farklı coğrafyalarda ve farklı milletlerden derlenen masallarda benzerliğin ötesindekimi ortak unsurlar mevcuttur. Kürt Masalları adlı kitapta yer alan masallarla hemAnadolunun değişik yörelerinden derlenen masallar hem de dünya masalları arasındada ortak unsurlar vardır. Bu nedenle Kürt Masalları adlandırmasıyla masalların biretnisite bağlamında ele alınmasının doğru olup olmayacağı, masalların evrenselnitelikleri göz önünde bulundurularak yeniden düşünülmelidir.

Abstract
Tales come into prominence in oral narrative traditions through their universalcharacteristics. There are some common points in the tales compiled in a variety ofdifferent geographies and nations. There are common points with the tales compiled indifferent parts of Anatolia and the world tales in those in the book called KurdishTales. Therefore, whether the tales called Kurdish Tales is discussed is true or not inthe context with the ethnicity should be reconsidered taking into account the universalcharacteristics of tales.
